Lovely to meet you, my name is Elin (eeeeeeeeelin)

I am a second generation hairdresser growing up in my mom’s salon outside of Chicago. My entertainment as a child was watching fashion shows, tagging along to photo shoots, and exploring Chicago. I’ve also have been lucky enough to have John Bertorelli, creative genius and a hairdressing pioneer for our industry as my (step) dad and mentor.

Being raised in a creative world I’ve always had the privilege of letting my imagination and creativity take lead.

I grew up outside of Chicago and originally moved with my family to Bellingham in 2008 where I graduated high school early and enrolled in Toni&Guy hair academy at the age of 17! I’ve worked both in the Chicago area and Bellingham for over 15 years. I joined the Argyle family back in 2010-2017 and now have the honor to rejoin the collective!

My approach to hair and my clients is with an understanding that it is vulnerable to sit in the chair and look in the mirror. I feel it too. My passion is to guide you in your hair journey whatever your goals may be! To hold the space for new ideas, change, conversation or silence.

I specialize in designing custom haircuts for each individual hair type. I love the challenge of thick hair, fine hair, CURLY hair, hair that has personality even if it’s misbehaving.

My color expertise is with reds, natural shades and techniques, lived in color (not to say I’m not game for pink or blue) and customized coloring.

I have been trained as an educator through Bumble and Bumble, as a colorist at the Keune academy and hair cutting with Bumble and Bumble, Vidal Sassoon Chicago and Kevin Murphy.

I’ve reunited with my family in Bellingham and am excited to start my new chapter here with you all!
